Flamingo recaptured after escaping from Iowa zoo (AP)

AP – A flamingo that flew the coop at Des Moines’ Blank Park Zoo has been recaptured and returned to the zoo. Zoo spokesman Terry Rich said the adult flamingo was discovered missing Tuesday morning. It was recaptured nearly 7 hours later in the nearby Fort Des Moines area.
